Here Now, There Now

Here Now, There Now, was an artistic intervention that took place over three days in June 2008 alongside some of Scotland’s busiest commuter rail routes from Aberdeen to Edinburgh and Edinburgh to Glasgow.

During the three days the daily routine of the travelling commuter was unexpectedly interrupted by subtle interventions taking place in the landscape at over forty remote locations on either side of the railway lines.

These interventions comprised  a series of large scale text works and performative actions by over 150 performers.  Here Now, There Now was devised by Pernille Spence and was the culmination of a Scottish Arts Council Creative Scotland Award.
