40 Minutes
40 Minutes is a collaboration with Janet Smith, choreographer and Artistic Director at the Scottish Dance Theatre, 1997-2012.
The work was inspired by the New York Grand Central Station’s oral history project where a sound booth was placed in the station to record information from people’s lives for 40 continuous minutes. Scottish Dance Theatre’s 40 Minutes investigates the information and memories people choose to reveal from years of life experience within this specific time frame.
40 Minutes was a touring dance production for the Scottish Dance Theatre.

Cabin:Codex Titles
Cabin:Codex Titles was a collaboration with artist, Zoë Irvine. We were invited by the
Cooper Gallery to develop a performance work based on the Artists’ Book Collection Dundee at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, which is dedicated solely to the collection of Artists’ Books. The performance explored notions of archive, communication and accessibility and the collaboration resulted in two live performances as part of the Cabin:Codex exhibition in Centrespace in the Visual Research Centre during April and May 2011.
This video document is a record of the first ‘spoken’ performance that was printed onto scrolls of paper, packaged and now part of the Artists’ Book Collection Dundee.
